Kyriakos Iakovides was born in 1984 in Limassol. For the last five years, he has worked as a lecturer at Neapolis University Paphos. He received his bachelor’s degree at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and his postgraduate degree at Royal Holloway (London), and PhD at the University of Cyprus. He holds a diploma in sports journalism. He was a researcher at “Eurodaktylios”, a research program funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His research interests revolve around the struggle for union in Cyprus and topical history. He is co-editor of three books on Cyprus villages (Salamiou, Omodhos, and Agios Theodoros Pitsillias). Author of Metternich’s Europe and the Greek Revolution (1821–1827), Nicosia (Diorama publications) 2023, and Greek and Cyprus left (KKE, EDA, AKEL) and the Cyprus Issue, Salonica (Epikentro) 2023.
