Neapolis Innovation Research and Development Center

Neapolis Innovation Research and Development Center, started out as an affiliated organization of Neapolis University in Cyprus, in order to fulfill the owner’s aspiration for activities that relate to social outreach, innovation in education and environmental causes. NIRDC is a not-for-profit organization that falls in the category of social enterprises mainly due to its activities and its area of expertise. The Center is now more than ten years old and its activities are focusing on improving communities in Pafos. NIRDC has a limited presence in EU projects, with the exception of one FP7 example that focused on solid waste management streams in the Pafos region and fit the center’s philosophy regarding outreach and environmental issues. Over the years the organization collaborated with a large number of regional schools towards the promotion of STEAM careers, a collaboration achieved through volunteer work by members of the NUP faculty.
