Lecture: “Presentation of Appraisers and Brokerage Standards of RICS”

As part of the recent recognition of the postgraduate program Master in Real Estate from the RICS foundation on, Friday, March 14, 2014, the Department of Assessment and Property Development of the Neapolis University in Cyprus organized a seminar with the following topics:

• Introduction to RICS
• The role of the appraiser and the RICS “RED BOOK”
• The role of real estate agents and the adoption of “Real Estate Brokerage Standards”.

The lecture was presented by Jeniffer Sharpe, a member of the local council of RICS in Cyprus and Board member of the Association of Scientists Valuers in Cyprus. The discussion was moderated by Professor of the Department Thomas Dimopoulos.

The workshop ended with an overall successful conclusion for the immediate and urgent need for the adoption and implementation of international standards in Cyprus in order to upgrade the broker profession and the appraiser.
