Participation of the University in European Job Days – Youth Mobility 2013

The European Commission Representation in Cyprus and EURES Cyprus organized a two-day Conference designed to inform youth about current training and mobility opportunities in the European Union. The conference also offered information about job opportunities in Cyprus and in the rest of Europe and conducted presentations on “living and working in other Europe”. The event “European Job Days – Youth on the Move 2013” was held in Nicosia on 22 and 23 November 2013, at the Conference Center “Filoksenia”. In the subject of ‘Youth Mobility” there were stands of competent national bodies and organizations, who provided information on education, learning, training, mobility and employment in the European Union. Universities participated in the event and there were information’s regarding other important issues such as the upcoming European elections and the mobility of researchers (EURAXESS). In the EURES kiosks, consultants from 12 countries of the European Union including Cyprus were present and provided information on vacancies. In parallel, a number of open discussions were held, presentations and meetings to exchange experiences and practical information on opportunities in the field of youth education and employment. Neapolis University in Cyprus participated with a pavilion that was visited by the Ministers of Education and Culture Kyriakos Kenevezos and Ministers of Labour and Social Security Zeta Emilianidou, accompanied by George Markopouliotis, Head of the European Delegation in Cyprus.
