Over the period of 20th – 22nd February 2020, a delegation from the University of Western Macedonia headed by Professor Theodoros Theodoulidis, Rector of the University, Associate Professor Nikos Sarianinidis, Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Professor Androniki Katarachia, Dean of the School of Economics and Mrs. Ekaterini Blanda, Head of the Office of International Relations of the University, visited Neapolis University in Cyprus and participated in a series of meetings with its academic and administrative staff.
The University of Western Macedonia, based in Kozani, is a dynamically developing Higher Education Institution with 7 Schools and 22 Departments, distributed throughout the major cities of Western Macedonia.
On Friday, 21st February, the Rectors of the two Universities, Prof. Pantelis Sklias and Prof. Theodoros Theodoulides, signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the two Higher Academic Institutions.
The agreement outlines the framework for cooperation between Neapolis University in Cyprus and the University of Western Macedonia, and the planning for the implementation of joint actions, aimed at exchanging academic know – how and further deepening and developing synergies of academic, research and educational practice with the objective of excellence in academic research and cutting edge, innovative and applied knowledge.
