The war in Ukraine and energy challenges for the EU: the role of Cyprus
In a period in which the energy crisis combines economic and geopolitical dimensions, having a direct effect on the daily life of European citizens, Neapolis University Pafos, in the context of its international collaborations, co-organizes with the KEDEPOD of the University of the Peloponnese and the Foundation’s Representation Konrad-Adenauer in Greece and Cyprus a public debate starting from the war in Ukraine.
The debate, linking academic analysis and knowledge with applied policies in the field will facilitate the understanding of today’s complex situation, approach issues such as the effectiveness of European policies and the need to strengthen EU energy security, while emphasizing the energy role of the Republic of Cyprus, with the obvious geopolitical effects in the Eastern Mediterranean.
