On Monday 8 May 2023, The General of the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus His Excellency, Lt. General Dimokritos Zervakis will be visiting Neapolis University Pafos.
The head of the National Guard will be accompanied by the the head of the Ministry of Defense’ Military Academy for Security and Defense Mr. Symeon Zambas. His Excellency will meet with the Rector Professor Pantelis Sklias, and the Leadership of the University.Will discuss further the ongoing collaboration the University holds in the fields of defense and security with the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, and the military Academy for Security and Defense.
Soon after the General will give his key-speech on “The changing geostrategic landscape in the East Mediterranean Region and the role of the National Guard of the Republic of Cyprus”, to the students, faculty, and invited guests.
The event is organized by the Department of History, Politics and International Studies of the Neapolis University Pafos.
The event will take place in the main auditorium of the University at 14:00 pm. Guests are advised to join in by 13:50 pm.
The Event will last an hour and 30 minutes.
The General’ speech will be welcomed by the Rector Professor Pantelis Sklias and moderated by Head of Department Associate Professor, Dr. Marios P. Efthymiopoulos. Soon after his speech a short Q&A will follow.
The university departmental programs of History, Politics and International Studies are nationally accredited programs of Neapolis University Pafos, by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Committee of National Accreditation (DIPAE) of the Republic of Cyprus at all levels of university studies, undergraduate level (BA) and graduate studies (MA), but also Doctoral (PhD) studies.
