Constantine Spyrakos is Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Neapolis University Pafos. He has been a Professor of the School of Civil Engineering and Director of the Laboratory of Earthquake Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He was also a Professor at W. Virginia University, USA. His scientific activity includes his participation in committees on seismic behavior of structures, such as ASCE, ACI, TCLEE and TEE, for drafting and checking regulations, such as the Greek Earthquake Engineering code, the Greek Seismic Code for Rehabilitation and Structural Strengthening, as well as his many-year term as a member of the Central Archaeological Council (CAC), the Central Council of Modern Monuments (CCMM), and the Board of the Earthquake Planning Protection Organization. He is the author of four scientific textbooks, while he has worked as a consultant, as a control engineer and as a researcher in important technical projects, such as the Vault of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and the Louvre-Abu-Dhabi Museum.
