Demetris Georgiou is a qualified accountant currently working for his own accountancy and audit practice in Paphos. Between 2004 and 2008 he studied accounting at the University of Cyprus and then joined Price Waterhouse Coopers (2008-2012) where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) Since his qualification he worked for another firm among the big five and for a medium size firm until in 2019 he started his own audit/accountancy firm.
Demetris has extensive professional experience in the audit and preparation of financial statements under IFRS as well as special assignments that include fraud investigation and testing of systems of internal controls. He is also teaching various accountancy courses at University including Auditing, Accounting Information Systems and IFRS’s.
