Dimitrios Chatzimichail is a lecturer in Commercial Law (Commercial Companies Law, Synthesis in Commercial Law, Industrial Property Law, Securities Law, Insolvency Law and Introduction in Commercial Law) at Neapolis University Pafos.
He was awarded an LLM in Commercial and Economic Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Ph.D. in Commercial Companies Law (summa cum laude) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has conducted postdoctoral research in the field of Industrial Property Law (Patent Law – Industrial and Trade Secrets).
He has taught at undergraduate level in the Faculty of Law, Section of Business and Labour Law of Democritus University of Thrace (Company Law and specific corporate forms), as well as at the University of Macedonia of Thessaloniki, School of Information Sciences, Department of Applied Informatics and School of Business Administration, Departments of Business Administration and Accounting & Finance (Commercial Law, Commercial Contracts and Commercial Companies Law). At the same time, he has taught Governance of the International Financial System in the Postgraduate Program of the Western Macedonia University.
His research interests cover the whole range of commercial law, but in particular he focuses on areas of company law, modern commercial contracts, the industrial and commercial property law and insolvency law. He is the author of:

He was scientific associate in ‘Armenopoulos’, a monthly law review published by Thessaloniki Bar Association, from 2006 to 2019 and currently in ‘Eptitheorisi Emporikou Dikaiou’, a quarterly law review published in Athens since 1950, whilst he has been the author of several articles and a great number of case law comments in legal journals and reviews.
Dimitrios is Partner and Head of Thessaloniki Office of ‘Rokas Law Firm’, member of Thessaloniki Bar Association, authorized to appear before Greek Courts of all instances, and he has been engaged in the establishment, acquisition and restructuring of many commercial companies in Greece. He is also specialized in dispute resolution in the fields of corporate, financial, insurance, intellectual property, administrative, national and international transport and general commercial law. He has experience in conducting due diligence on enterprises for the purposes of sale and has experience in administrative law litigation before the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece.
