Within the framework of Criminal Law and Criminology courses
Neapolis University, having as a basic principle that the theoretical training is not sufficient to complete students’ knowledge, especially in the field of criminal sciences, but needs to be supplemented by the practical dimension in the foremost area of criminal law which is none other than the Courts and the court of trial, a visit was organized to one of the High Courts of the Republic in the field of Criminal Law: the Permanent Assize Court of Pafos.
The aim of the visit, which has been established as part of the Criminal Law course over the past 5 years, is to experience the lively atmosphere of the criminal trial, to familiarize themselves with the space they will be called upon to practice as a graduate lawyers, as judges, as experts.
The students were accompanied by the lecturer of the Criminal Law and Criminology at Neapolis University, criminal scientist Dr. Artemis Savvidou, who also organized the visit.
There was a warm reception of the students by the President of the Permanent Court of Pafos.
