Lecture “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: International Trends and Implications”

On Wednesday, October 22 Rector, Professor Spyros Makridakis held a lecture on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: International Trends and Implications” in the auditorium of the Neapolis University in Cyprus.
In his speech, Mr. Makridakis said that the last decade, innovation and entrepreneurship have emerged as the top factors for success and prosperity. The great challenge facing Cyprus today, is to create an environment in which innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish.
There was a presentation of international trends in innovation and entrepreneurship with reference to practices from other countries and the potential role and contribution of the Univeristy in this effort. An example ofr the that is the introduction of a new course “innovation and entrepreneurship” for all students, which was presented by the dean of the faculty of Economics and Management prof. Spiros Vliamos.
Dr. Andreas Moleskis, Director of Administrative and Financial Services Neapolis University Pafos greeted the Event. The lecture was attended by distinguished guests, faculty and students of the Neapolis University as well as public.
