On Tuesday, 30th March, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Hellenic Investors Association (SED), represented by Mr. Charalambos Englezos, President, and the Department of Accounting and Finance and Department of Economics and Business of the School of Economics, Administration and Computer Science, represented by Prof. Pantelis Sklias, Rector.
The Hellenic Investors Association (SED) is a non-profit association recognized by the Greek Parliament as an institutional body of the Greek Stock Market, representing Private Investors along with 7 other bodies in the “Advisory Committee of the Athens Stock Market Commission“, in the Board of Directors which the Dean of the University’s School of Economics, Administration and Computer Science Prof. Maria Psillaki, participates.
In the framework of cooperation between the two Organizations, actions will be undertaken and implemented for the promotion of scientific knowledge and research in subjects of common interest, aiming at the training and placement of students (undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies) and investors in the operation of the Athens Stock Exchange, as well as the Corporate Governance of Listed Companies.
There will also be co-organized workshops, conferences, seminars and lectures to disseminate knowledge and research activity with publications and writing of relevant articles, studies and scientific books.
This cooperation aims to create further opportunities of interaction for the University’s student community by integrating real life scenarios in the learning process with the participation of all those involved in the real operating conditions of businesses and stock markets, increasing the acquired theoretical and empirical knowledge and strengthening the possibility of successful entry and professional development of Neapolis University graduates in the labor market.
