Neapolis University Pafos was honored with the Higher Education Award at the official Gala Dinner event of the Pafos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held on Friday, February 28, 2025.
This award is in recognition of the University’s significant contribution to higher education, as well as its continuous investment in innovation, academic excellence and international cooperation. The award was accepted by the President of the University Council, Mr. George M. Leptos, who expressed his gratitude for the award and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to continuing to provide high quality academic and research services.
In his speech, Mr. Leptos said:
“Neapolis University Pafos was founded in 2010 with the vision of becoming a centre of excellence in higher education. With 14 undergraduate, 35 postgraduate, and 5 doctoral programs, we continue to promote innovation and applied knowledge. At the same time, as a full member of the European University Alliance EMERGE, we continue to strengthen our international presence by developing partnerships with leading European universities. This recognition belongs to our entire academic community – students, professors, researchers, and staff – who work tirelessly to ensure high quality education and research.”
The event, which had a philanthropic character, brought together the business community of Paphos while also highlighting and awarding significant initiatives and organizations that contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
