The Department of Civil Engineering at Neapolis University Pafos is pleased to announce a new collaboration with KNAUF Cyprus Ltd, a leading provider of innovative building materials and sustainable construction applications. This collaboration aims to promote research, knowledge exchange and professional development in the field of structural expertise.
KNAUF Cyprus Ltd, a subsidiary of Knauf Group, offers certified and energy-efficient drywall systems, ready-mixed plasters, insulating materials in the Cyprus market while cultivating and promoting a sustainable and energy sufficient culture in the construction industry.
The Memorandum of Understanding includes a series of initiatives that will provide benefits to the students and graduates of Neapolis University Pafos, as well as to professionals in the construction industry. In particular:
– Placement and internship positions for students offering their first introduction to the industry as well as practical experience, which will enrich their skills and competencies.
– Academic assignments undertaken by students on topics related to the construction industry.
– Collaboration on research projects focusing on advanced construction techniques, sustainable building materials and energy efficient solutions. This collaboration will create opportunities for cutting-edge research and development of practical solutions that address real challenges in the construction industry.
– Support in lectures on dry building systems, thermal and acoustic insulation in the context of courses in the Department of Civil Engineering.
– Organisation of joint lectures/workshops/seminars of a scientific, social and cultural nature.
