In commemoration of “World Environment Day”, the MLA (Master of Landscape Architecture) Graduate program at Neapolis University in Cyprus organised an event on Friday the 1st of June, 2018 presenting the film “PEDTADAKTYLOS: So close … yet so far”.
Dr Julia Georgi, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture and Head of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences at Neapolis University in Cyprus, welcomed the audience on the behalf of the University.
The Cypriote Environment Commisioner Mrs. Ioanna Panagiotou alongside Dr. Nikolas Eliades, President of the PanCypriote Union of Foresters and scientific advisor to the film helped usher in the event.
Prior to screening, an introduction to the film was given by its Director/Producer Mr. Paschalis Papapetrou and Dr George Constantinou, Scientific Adviser, Geologist and Film Scriptwriter.
The film took its audience on a journey through the unique geological formation, rich flora and natural beauty of the Pentadaktylos, the mountain which is so close, yet so far away.
The event was held under the auspice of the Office of the Environment Commissioner.
