Three scholarships to athletes – students of the University from the Paphos Municipality

For the third consecutive year the Paphos Municipality supports the institution of scholarships to students of the Neapolis University in Cyprus. The scholarships where hand over on March 11, 2014, in a sincere ceremony at the premises of the University, a Delegation of the Sport Commission and Youth of Paphos Municipality with Mr. Andreas Moleskis Director of Administration and Finance and with the presence of academic and administrative staff members.
The chairman of the Sports Committee and Youth of the Paphos Municipality Chrysanthos Savvides said that despite the financial difficult the committee, decided to proceed with the scholarships. He added that the three scholarships are worth 4500 euros and will be distributed equally to the students who meet the performance criteria in courses and sports events, in memory Nikos Paspallis.
On his part, Mr. Moleskis thanked the Paphos Municipality for the continued support and cooperation for the University and wished that this cooperation will continue and grow. The Director of Administration and Finance also stressed that the University welcomes such actions which give rise to the athletic ethos. Finally a proposal was made to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two bodies, following consultations.
