On 24.06.2022, a meeting was held at Neapolis University Pafos between the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Cyprus Republic, Mr. Oren Anolik and the Rectorate and Administration of the University, represented by Mr. Pantelis Leptos, Vice-Chairman of the Board and Prof. Pantelis Sklias, Rector.
During the visit of the representative of the State of Israel, the University Authorities were given the opportunity to inform them regarding the more than ten years of diverse and multifaceted activity and contribution of Neapolis University Pafos to the academic community as well as the local and national community of the Republic of Cyprus.
Special mention was made regarding the strengthening of research activity and the production of new innovative applied knowledge through participation in international research projects with the scientific community and collaborations with important scientific, academic and professional bodies and continuous contribution to the scientific dialogue in the area of Higher Education.
More specific, extended information was provided to Mr. Ambassador regarding the cooperation in the research and teaching process, among the University Neapolis Pafos and the Tel-Hai Israel College aiming to develop and operation of a Common Simulation Centre to confront the Psychological Trauma funded by the Ministry of Regional Cooperation of the State of Israel as well as for the coming of distinguished Prof. Ben D. Mor at the Department of History, Politics and International Studies, (International Course Lecturer of the Israel Institute in Washington, DC), as tutor in the International Relations, Strategy and Security Study Programmes.
There was also extensive briefing on the development perspective and strategic plan implementation of Neapolis University Pafos aiming to connect the Curricula and its student community with the labor market, to adapt in the new conditions and needs of the 4th Industrial Revolution and pioneer at the forefront of knowledge with the existing, but also new fields of Study and Curricula, through the establishment and operation of the Neapolis Eco Smart City.
