DURATION

The time period for obtaining the doctoral degree cannot be less than three (3) full calendar years from the date of appointment of the Three-Member Advisory Committee by the competent bodies of the two collaborating Universities. The maximum duration of the thesis is set at five (5) calendar years. An extension of one (1) more year may be granted in exceptional cases if this is justified by a detailed report of the Advisory Committee (AC) and decided by the AC.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Access to the joint Doctoral Programme with Co-supervision is open regardless of gender, age, religion, nationality, sexual preference, political orientation or disability, to all candidates holding a Master’s degree in the field of Business Administration.

To apply, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree and have a satisfactory knowledge of English as described below:

The minimum requirement is the possession of an English language certificate at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or a degree at an equivalent level.

The programme requires the completion of 180 ECTS, of which 112.5 ECTS are purely research-related, and the remaining 60 ECTS are related to the comprehensive examination, the preparation and presentation of the research proposal, the writing of the doctoral thesis, etc. Doctoral candidates must attend the course “Research Methods”, which will take place in the first semester of the first year of studies and will correspond to 7.5 ECTS.

The course is offered by the Distance method.

A prerequisite for the successful completion of the PhD thesis is the publication of at least two (2) scientific papers in Scopus Listed journals in the field. Additional requirements are listed in the Guide for the Ph.D. Thesis with Co-Supervision.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

For the purpose of preparing the doctoral dissertations during the Spring Semester 2023-2024, the final date for submission of the research proposal and supporting documents is 15/01/2024. Applicants will be notified of the successful or unsuccessful outcome of their application by 15/03/2024.
