The SeedFund project, a strategic initiative funded by Erasmus+ and coordinated by the University of Strasbourg, France, stands at the forefront of revolutionizing SME financing in the European Union by addressing critical knowledge gaps and dispelling prevalent misconceptions about EU-related and alternative financing options available to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The aim of the project is to introduce novel techniques through which SMEs can improve the conduits through which they receive, exchange and evaluate information related to funding opportunities. The project will reflect the needs and requirements of all persons and organizations engaged. It will constitute a win-win opportunity through which, participants can develop their entrepreneurial skills and talents in order to expand and grow their businesses. At the same time, the project will aim to introduce novel valuable resources and innovative thinking into the European and global business environment. It will unlock the potential of otherwise underutilized enterprises to enhance their performance and capabilities.

Project Deliverables

· Guide of EU and Alternative Financial Schemes

SeedFund focuses on the development of a comprehensive guide detailing various EU and alternative financial schemes available to SMEs. It aims to provide a repository of best practices and real-life case studies, serving as a valuable resource for entrepreneurs seeking insights and guidance in finance-related decision-making.

· E-learning Platform and Online Course

SeedFund will create an E-learning platform and develop a 12 ECTS online course. This digital education module is designed to impart detailed knowledge about EU and alternative SME financing schemes.

· European Network for SMEs Support

Finally, SeedFund will establish a robust European network to support SMEs. This network aims to facilitate connections, collaborations, and exchanges among SMEs, financial experts, and academic institutions across Europe. The objective is to create a dynamic ecosystem that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and mutual support among SMEs.
